60mm A Pillar Pod

Whats up guys and gals? Quick question, as far as my FD goes, I recently purchased 6 60mm matching guages, and all but one are installed. I currently have the Border carbon fiber dash mount pod, and a custom carbon fiber airbag mount by SP engineering. Unfortunately, I still have one unmounted gauge, the boost guage, which I have always preffered to be on the pillar, but unfortunately I cannot find a pod that would accumulate 1 or 2 60mm guages! I would rather have a dual pod, as I need room for an N2O gauge when neccessary, but a single pod will do fine as well, but everything I find is 52mm only! Any ideas??

Just buy the autometer 52mm gauge holder, and dremel it out a bit. That's what I did, it looks good, and fits really well. If you do this, just dremel or file out a little bit of plastic at a time.

good luck,
eric

Dremel's my best friend! That would not be the first time I have done that, as I have doen the same for the MKIV's as well asl the previos DSM's. Its just that I heard recently from somone the width of the AutoMeter was ok to Dremel on the FD application, but the depth was the issue, as it did not accept most 60mm applications... Maybe I was misinformed???

The only 60mm gauges that I have heard of causing problems from being too deep are the GReddy gauges. I haven't heard any problems with Defi, Apex-i, or the others.

I have widened a single and dual autometer gauge pod w/ a Dremel to fit 60mm Greddy gauges. The gauges fit perfectly. I have heard of people having problems with Greddy gauges, but mine fit snug with ample space for connecters. I guess I'm just special.
