3rd Gen Tail light removal?

I am going to replace my tail lights with 99's and wondered what particulars I need to know to R&R them.

Thanks in advance,
André

You can just convert your 93-95 lights into j spec lights by buying $40 of supplies and 4 hrs of time. I do conversion for people for $50 also. There is a good write up on this process. Do a search for 99 round tail light to find the link if you are interested.

To remove the lights, you unscrew the 3-4 nuts on top of the lights, under the hatch. You slide the tail lights outward to the side of the car, parallel to the ground. The lights don't pull out towards the rear of the car so don't try that. A few gentle pushes using your palm should dislodge the lights.

Yeah, it's davidDchang@yahoo.com, don't forget about the D in the middle...

I'm in the SF area so you can mail these to me. If you have the zip code and city, I can quote you a return shipping via UPS.

It takes me 1 day to do it. I can ship it back the next day.

David did my lights!

They look really good, and his turn around time was very quick. I liked the round lights but didn't want to shell out the ton of $ for 'em. 50 bucks is about right. I highly reccommend it, thanks Dave!

Thanks for the kind words Mike. I enjoy helping out fellow rotorites look good! It's more of a hobby than anything else.

Someday when I retire years down the road, I'll have a 6 bay garage with lift and just restore RX7s. Someday....

Anyhow, Happy Holidays to everyone and best wishes to each and everyone of you in continuing success and happiness.
