3rd gen seats into 1st gen??

I have a pair of 3rd gen seats that i really want to put in my 1st gen. I've seen it done before so i know its possible. If anyone has this done please help me out. if anyone can do it i will pay for the fabrication. thanks

I have never done this exact swap, but I have done several others. It is not really too hard. Especially if you have seen it work before. Flip over both seats, and take a look at the rails. See where they attach to the car. You should be able to either, re-drill holes in the 3rd gen rails to make them fit in the first gen, or drill holes in the first gen rails to make them fit on the 3rd gen seats.

couldn't he just install some 3rd gen rails in the 1st gen?

sure he could. I just do not know if the rails are a direct fit. If they are, he is all good. If not, he will have to figure out a way to modify the rail to work.
