Q: What do you use (besides hood pins!!) to latch your carbon hood to the oem catch? How is your hood attached? Would you please you upload a few photos to show how your hood latch and how it is bonded/fastened to the hood?

Situation: I bought a carbon hood (Carbon Creations C1 @ Client Validation).

Problem: It did not arrive with a latch. There is just a general area to install one, but this is straight into fiberglass, without bobbins or a backplate to fasten a latch into, even if I made one from scratch.

I've searched the forums and Google Images without success -- a few photos reveal that others have simply reused the original skeleton, replacing the top of the shell, which is not the design mine uses.

I see many people using carbon hoods without hood pins -- I may still use hood pins, but I absolutely want the release to work just as it did originally (stock).
