The only way to turn them on is when you put the headlights on... so I was wondering and sure there is an easy way to get them to come on anytime with just the switch and no headlights on???

There is a Red/Black wire going into the fog light switch.. this wire is from the headlight. Cut it, and take the fog light switch side of the wire over to either ignition (black/red at the ignition switch) or to the parking lights green/wht (found all over in the dash).

Hooking it to ignition will let you have the fog lights on anytime that the key is on.

Hooking the switch up to parking lights will allow you to have the fogs on anytime the parking lights are on, but be aware that in some states it is illegal to have the parking lights/fog lights on with out the head lights, so check your local rules and regulations.
