In all honesty the storage bin area while hides the woofers well, don't allow for very low base unless you go sealed with custom fiberglass enclosures, tons of power, and better than average woofers, such as the JL 12W6 (not some Kicker/ MTX/ Pioneer/ earthquake/ etc bargain woofer).

Unless you are willing to do what it takes (like the big bucks and a decent install shop- not the average DIYer) you are wasting your time and money to put them into the storage bin area.

People will say it can be done, but it is less than optimal on the 86-91 models, and frankly a 10" in a band pass in the back corner is gonna sound more acurate and slightly deeper.

What sort of music do you want to reproduce? Rap is gonna be set up different than C&W. Do you want to build a car that sounds good? or just gets all the girlies running with lots of bass? What sort of budget are you in? What sort of power do you have now? These are all things that you should know ahead of time.

Of course IMO you should also not fill the back end with woofers/enclosures as that defeats the whole concept of a light weight sports car.

A nice 10" or 12" in a good F'glass enclosure in the spare tire well will give you more acurate bass, and deeper bass (however it may not be as "loud") as anything that you can put into the storage bin area. The rear hatch Horn loads the bass and acts like double to woofers. You don't get that in the storage bins.

I will post them tomorrow. I put three twelves in the storage area. Of course, I took it out to do it, but it looks sweet. All custom panels. It took me two weeks just to design.
