2nd Gen Question: Installing Aftermarket Radio

Ok I know you have heard this alot and I have searched but I am gonna straight to it. I know you will need a wiring harness AND that thing that flows below where the equilzer is. What I want to know is what can you put in there and where I could find the wiring harness so not to molest my wiring. I have seen some people have replaced the equilizer spot with guages and or a some sort of blue electronic. Well I would really aprreciate feedback on where I can get these supplys. Thanks and if possible some pics if yall would have them handy. Your help is greatly appreciated.

at any radio install store you can find the wiring harness and the install kit, I used this in mine and there was absolutely no problem. Looks great too.
