2 way or 3 way?

what's the difference between 2 way speakers and 3 way speakers? and which one's better?

2 way speakers r 2 speakers in 1, a woofer and a tweeter.
3 way speakers r 3 speakers in 1, a woofer, mid-range, and a tweeter. I don't know if one is better than another, but I'd think the 3 way would have better sound since they cover more of the sound spectrum.

Actually neither. The sound quality and dynamics from component speakers are ok but not top notch. To get a better and more accurate sound spectrum, go with amplified separates(highs, mids, and lows).

oops! yeah, that's what i meant... full range speakers not top notch and amplified components the way to go.

I was just answering his question concerning the type speakers he was asking about. I agree that seperate speakers r the best way to go, that's how my system is set up.
