An avatar is the pic you use that appears under your screen name with each reply you make if you have that feature enabled on this website. As a moderator who also moderates from work, I have to turn that feature off because of the proliferation of juveniles who use half-naked Japanese girls for their avatar..

The signature is a bit of custom text which appears below all of your posted replies if you have that feature enabled. You also have the option to drop it in each post if you look at all of the things that appear in the window when you attempt a reply or post a new thread.

TX Thanks

Cool, Thanks Mario. That helped alot. Now I get it the idea. I'll get used to this forum after a while. So then let me ask another question. What is the trade score under the avatar? I'm sure if I read enough I could find some of these answers, but I feel like I've been reading my but off already on this site. Learning some great stuff about my car.

The Email alert system seems to have a problem...sorry for the delay in answering...that little score is like eBay's feedback system. Whenever you conduct a business transaction on the board, you have an opportunity to leave feedback. By reading the iTrader score, you can get an idea of whether or not you can trust the member selling stuff....though that's only a general rule. As in any Internet transaction, caveat emptor...
