The benefit to the post count requirement seems to be lots of threads like this one that really don't have anything but garbage after the first post or two.

I recently signed up, and first thought of required post count sounded rather silly, but after reading through these threads, it seems like it will be worth it once we get past the noob stages haha.

It helps us weed out scammers and riff raff and keep you guys safe when you are looking to buy or sell parts.

Yep, I see the idea now, just the first forum I've personally joined that is setup like this.

I kind of like the idea of keeping out spammers and what not. Just makes it hard if you dont know how to work around a forum.

I am a little confused about something. Sorry if I didn't read something clearly or anything like that ><

Anyways, it says I need 100 posts to post in the regional section for where I live. Well, I want to meet people that live around me or can give me ideas of local shops that work on rx7s, etc. I posted a thread in the New Members section asking if anyone lived around me, but it didn't get approved? Is there some reason you have to have 100 posts before being able to figure out who lives around you?

^same as u did here but in the tech section. if u read thru and post in the first 5 sticky threads here, https://www.rx7club.com/introduce-yourself-254/, it'll get u the 5 posts u probably need to post in other areas. and since that is ur only post, then u didn't even post in the "introduce yourself" section.
