So with the recent forum chanes, I see this 'friends' things and I'm gettin requests from members to be their friend. What does this actually do, function, purpose benefits, etc.?

I have noticed that if you have a friend that is in the currently active users at the bottom of a thread or the main page that is online they will have a "+" next to their name. Other than that, not sure.

LOL, you're welcome Ian. Glad to have you as a friend too. I still think there's more to it than us old guys who didn't grow up with comps as a teething aide understand yet. In the old format, on the main page was a list of everyone online, click on that for thier profile and it showed what thread they were on. I suppose this does the same thing, only different. What I did notice is a message box, is that interactive in real time, such as MSN Messenger?

 

lol i guess its like a myspace or facebook but i guess its easier for people to contact you instead of looking you up
