Wiring in haltech 550 elite (first haltech)

hey guys so I just purchased a haltech elite 550and I want to wire it into my gxl with a turbo2 swap. I have wired in a microtech before and it seems that the haltech is a bit different from microtech. First off when I ordered the 550 somehow they sent me an elite 750 basic harness, would this work on my 550? If it does work I noticed with this computer there are 2 5v sensor supply wires does that just get branched off into the sensors (tps, coolant, air etc). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

hey mate.

Welcome to the club!

in regards to the 550 and 750 I overlayed the pages for you.

550 and 750 pdf overlay

The green is the extra wires on the 750 harness. you can just take them out as they wont do anythiing. Im guessing if you already have a harness their your going to re-pin the plug anyway? Or are you going to run the new loom to ensure no issues?

In regards to the 5v. I think you can bridge off (as they dont use much power regardless). But the sensors you described dont need 5V.

Air / coolant will just be 2 wire to ground (via the wiring diagrams. They dont need power).

I also did a wiring diagrame for my FC in the VE thread below.

cheers Anth

Hey havoc thanks a lot for that info. I am going to run the 750 basic harness on my 550. I guess I'll just do what you said and de-pin the wires that I don't need. Thanks so much.
