What is the Best Idle Control for FD w/E6K
the haltech suggest using a 4 wire idle control unit. i was wondering if the 2 wire bac on the back of the upper intake would work? if so what wires hook to where? if not what is the best alternative?
thanks,
justin

Yes the stock BAC valve will work just like stock if you set it up properly, to hook it up you need to attach a switched +12v supply to one of the wires and the other to one of the E6k PWM OUTPUTS , the E6K will control the BAC through this connection by pulling the voltage to ground. After connecting these wires you then have to go to the outputs page and select BAC valve control and the operating frequency , then go to the idle speed control and input all the appropriate settings as described by the manual, good lock.

hey thanks. its great to find someone that actualy explains how to wire this kind of thing, like the fact that the neg is switched and not the pos. this i assumed b/c the PWM outputs had a 12+ wire wired along with them but no where does it specificly say this.
do you have any i idea what Ms the BAC should be set to?
thanks

PWM pull to ground
All the PWM outputs on the E6K pull to ground. It does not specifically say that anyone (that I recall), but having a 12V+ wire in the harness kind of gives it away.
