water temp and air temp sensors

I just bought these at autozone today. I found a post saying these will work.. Anyone else using these? Both are 3/8" NPT

GM part # Air Temp Sensor; 25036751

Water Temp Sensor; 15326386

I bought that same air temp sensor part number from autozone and it was huge! like 5/8" or something. I couldnt even find a tap large enough to make it fit in the TB elbow, so I jamed it into the silicone elbow of the top mount and it works great.

The Haltech provided air and coolant temp sensors are delphi sensors, ie. GM, you part numbers seem right, the tap needed for them is called 3/8" NPT, it is fairly large.

the one I got in the NAPA cross refrence manual said the sensor was a 3/8" 18 thread sensor. But the one I actually got was much larger even though the part # was the same, oh well.

3/8" -18 is the same as 3/8"NPT,18 is the thread count. NPT=national pipe thread. got to a plumbing supply of good tool supply and ask for a 3/8"NPT tap. it is much larger than a 3/8" bolt. it is a tapered thread not a straight thread like a bolt. it is used in pipe fittings and is very common.
