Haltech using a tablet or something like it with the ecus?
using a tablet or something like it with the ecus?
I have been doing some research and have came up with the result that unless haltech releases a app for the setup for the firmware and installation on the ecu manager there is no way to use a ipad or the samsung tablet for tuning purposes as these are app based programs and not supported by halteck. correct me if i am wrong. I may have found a way around it but i am not 100% positive. The hp slate 500 runs a windows 7 operation system and has a usb and a hdmi input/output and a sd card input for transfering files and programs to it. So would it be possible to dl the firmware and ecu manager to the sd card and install it to the slate and tune on the go?
i was asking the computer tech ? b/c most of the tablets will only run the apps they support. the slate runs a windows operation system but i didnt know if it only ran the apps or additional pograms.
As for the netbook that would be a good idea but i dont want to take this out of the car, i want it to run my audio and be able to tune the ecu.
