Question Used E6K pricing?

I found a used K that comes with everything needed including a 3 bar map. Even comes with an old laptop and the needed inverter. The harness was terminated and was in a FC..

Aparently the EMS was worked on my Haltech last fall.

1150 shipped....good deal?

Sorry for the double post. This is in lounge to...

James

DO NOT GET THE X, I have had nothing but trouble with it... that seems a little expensive for a used K, I woud offer the guy 1000 shipped with the laptop and inverter that would be a hell of alot closer to a reasonable price.

most the e6k's i've worked with were purchased used and the success rate has been good, just be careful who you buy from like with everything else.

The only down side with buying used is the harness often has been all mucked up from the previous install, if you're capable of reading wiring diagrams and soldering it's not a problem to get back to sanity, just some extra time & materials.

I forgot to mention, the price does seem a bit steep but it depends on the specs of the laptop being included, if it's something you won't be replacing soon it may be worth it.

try this....basically, I paid for a BRAND NEW E6K with NON-terminated harness and sensor kit....from typer0...something.

got the ECU, the harness was non-terminated, but cut about 5 feet too short, and missing all the power/GND wires, no sensors and a dusty grimey ECU...took awhile but I got my money back, through a dispute.

then I saw the ECU on EBAY again but with a TII...I think someone bought it.

I went E6X and have been trouble free 5k miles.

here is a link to my harness project...something I didn't want to chance with a used ECU. That would have been too much troubleshooting headache

I would definetly search the forums more and wait for one to pop up here before you bought one on ebay. People are hard to trust on ebay with all of the scams but on the forum it seems that most everybody here is trustworthy and if not some one else will probobly let you know about it.

I got mine for 800 shipped with everything
