Upgrading to new Firmware on E8/E11v2

Its come to my attention that people are not loading the correct DEFAULT BASE MAP onto their E8/E11v2 when doing firmware updates and this is the reason why they are having problems. The correct base map is located in the Program Files folder, in the Haltech program folder. You load this map after you do the firmware update. THEN, you load your old previous map onto it. You DONT load any sort of preconfigured default map you may have for your application.

I've talked to a few people who have tried to load what ever "default map" they had before, and that is NOT what you load. Have a look at these images to know where to locate the CORRECT DEFAULT BASE MAP.

What about E6K?? The only firmware update there is for E6K is v7.17, BUT! this was never publicaly released, and apparently some bugs where present that were later fixed for E6X stuff. You can update if you want, but at your own risk.

Go here: http://www.oz951.com/halforum/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=182

With v7.17 you get dual map, and wastegate map.
