timeing

can anyone give me some pointers on tuneing my timeing map and rotary split map on the street? im in the process of street tuneing my car. the fuel map is going good but i dont know much about tuneing timeing. i want 2 keep the timeing prity conservative but i dont know what would be considered a lot of timeing and not a lot of timeing in different parts of the map.
