stock FC sensors & e11v2

I would have to install my e11v2 after Christmas. I have bought the ECU from a private party and received it with used sensors. Now, as the ECU seems to be flexible concerning the sensors’ inputs, I just would like to know if anyone of you is using the stock (FC) MAP and Air Temp. sensors with it. I have found some info on how should the stock MAP be wired (k2rd pages) to the ECU, but would like to know whether the GM sensor is better (faster, more precise etc.)? What about the a/w temp. sensors?

Those particular sensors do not need to be ultra quick responding, and I think the Haltech E11 has a pretty slow sample time on both of them.
I've been too lazy to characterizes the stock sensors (there's a chart in the Mazda FSM I think), but it is entirely possible to program them.

the stock FC water temp and the haltech ones are different resistances (about 2k if i remember). So the air intake temps sensors might be too. That would concern me. Computer getting wrong info that deals with fuel.

can the e6x be programed to use differnt sensors or is that e11 only? (didnt' see anything about that in the manual)

Actually, I’ve read somewhere that the FC water sensor has only small differences over the Haltech’s. The stock air temp. was said to output completely different values, though.
I think on the e11 only is possible to program values for a/w tepm. and MAP sensors. At least there are such options in the Halwin software . So to my understanding, whatever available sensors can be used. The hard part is to find information about the respective sensors’ electrical values.
There are charts for the air and water temp sensors in the FSM but they have only 2 test values. This would not be enough input for the ECU to correctly interpolate the sensor characteristics. Maybe I should do some basic research. Do not know how should I test the –40C temp. sensor electrical characteristics, though.
Does someone have an idea where info about sensor's electrical parameters (fc stock or whatever) can be found?

i would say a crude method would just be using a freezer, a pot of boiling water, and in-between temps with a thermo and measure the resistances.

you could plot the dat points in excel and see if they are linear or not.

but that seems like a lot of work

I have been planning something like this. But freezers go to -20C only.
I am sure the outputs are not linear.

Haltech / GM versus stock water temp FC / FD - it's very close.
Haltech / GM versus stock air temp FC - WAY off.
Haltech / GM versus stock air temp FD - pretty close.

The resistance versus temp tables are given in the Mazda FSM.
Well, at least the FC ones are...

yea, i just did a quick plot and it's an exponential decay (resistances as temp increases)
