S5 TII issues...

Im installing a Haltech e6k into my buddies 1991 S5 NA with a S4 TII drivetrain. It has a S5 TPS, CAS, AIS, S4 Coolant temp, S4 injectors (highimpedance). Stock coils. Stock MAP.

I get fuel, I get spark, I have the TPS wired correctly, I get a RPM signal. I have checked out every connecting, tripple checked the wiring. I checked the injector wiring harness and they are installed correctly.

I had to setup a VPC to get the old dos software to load on my laptop. But I can talk with the ecu. I loaded the Hitman map for stock 13bt.

It cranks and sputers at first, then nothing, just cranks. Theres lots of fuel. I believe its a timing/spark issue. I know I have spark. I followed The Hitmans guide to setting up the ignition in the map, along with everything thing else.

What am I missing? This car is supposed to be dyno tuned at 2pm tomorrow. I have done Microtech and Megasquirt many times, but man...

Help...

How did you connect the injectors, and how did you set it up in the software? Also, how did you connect the ignition side? did you use stock coils/igniters? Did you connect the Aux. Out wire (setting it to toggle) to the trailing coil select wire and Digitalout1 to T1?

What's you're fuel pressure set at? Are the plugs new?

You can't use the stock air temp sensor from the FC for the E6K.
It's way out of range.

The injectors are setup as staged and setup in the ecu as staged. Stock ignition is being used and was wired per K2RD's and hitmans instructions, and setup in the ECU as per their instructions.

Fuel pressure is good, plugs are new.

And I am using the GM AIS. Forgot to mention that.

It fired and ran for 2 seconds this morning, then did it again, now nothing. I am still thinking timing.

On the engine status page in the software, I see Leading 5 deg, trailing -10 degree.
I checked all the ign wiring, its all correct, and I checked the cas wiring.

However, I noticed the tach will sometimes not respond. Could the connector on the cas be causing this?? I know on my mircotech I had to solder the wires directly together, a connector added to much resitance.

I was running a hitman map. Now I am on one of claudio's for a stock car. I am cleaning the plugs and deflooding it.

This car is far from stock, but a stock map should start it. This is a brand new rebuilt motor too from pinapple racing.

change the spark plugs and check for spark. likely very rich and plugs fouled. also check every last bit of the wiring especially anything that was used from the original wiring harness.

Nothing was reused from the harness and I checked the plugs. They are clean, but wet. (I cleaned them).

I just tried backing down the 0rpm and 500rpm map to half what it was set at (like 1.2ms-7.1ms for 30inh-0psi) and it coughed like it wanted to start.

wet plugs=fouled plugs. carbon deposits in small quantities is normal. on a new install have a couple sets of NEW plugs.
