S4 FC VSS Sginal to Haltech

has anyone successfully connected the FC vehicle speed sensor to haltech?

I understand the VSS sensor in the transmission send a ac wave signal to dash, dash then converts to a digital signal, which can be tapped from the green/red wire to cruise control as described here
FC3S Pro v2.0:&nbsp Tips 'N Tricks - Cruise Control Speed Sensor Wire

my question is how would you set this up in haltech SPI sensor table?
do you use reluctor type or hall effect type?

anyone has the voltage reference for the FC vss speed sensor (through the green/red digital wire)

Thanks !

the FC has a speedometer cable, so the VSS sends a rotating cable to the speedometer, the speedo then outputs an AC voltage signal (i think) to the cruise control computer, which is the wire you use for the Haltech.

the voltage for the signal is in the shop manual, Foxed.ca - Mazda RX-7 Manuals

If you don't have the cruise/power steering computer installed, you will need to provide a pull-up to get this working. There is a Megasquirt thread that discusses setting VSS output up using this wire from the cluster, and I've done it on my Adaptronic as well.

can anyone elaborate on this
getting VSS signal from Series4 FC VSS wire to Haltech

my car doesn't have a cruise control, what pull up resistor do we need? what's the signal format?

Thanks !

Tuning Technology already makes the sensor conversion. Just buy this and let it spit out digital output for ECU adaptation.
