RX8 coils

Just curious, dunno if this has been discussed, but did anyone try using RX8 coils on these standalone applications?
I think the ignitors are built-in, anyone confirm?

Thanks,

paul

I see that the coils have 3 pins each, 12V, GND and Signal from the ECU, they might work, but i dont have any info on the signal setup required, i wouldnt be surprised if they required the same setup as most OEM coils, but with the cost of LS1 coils being so low, i really dont see the need to even consider other options.

The 8 is known to have a weak ignition system. Doesn't sound like much of an upgrade.

we looked at rx7 coils when they came out, the price is right, and they have a built in ignitor

however, sourcing the plug is interesting, and as time has gone on, the rx8 coils arent that reliable.
