Haltech Road Speed Problem

Road Speed Problem

OK, I tried hooking up my road speed portion of the Haltech. The car is an 88 10th AE. I ran the ground to the NEG battery terminal, and the switched power to my normal source. I tied the Road Speed sensor wire into the Green/Red wire coming off the cruise control box under the dash (driver's side).

Problem! Once I did this, my car wouldn't shut off when I pulled the key out! It just kept running.

Would that fact that the cruise control under the hood has been unplugged have anything to do with that? Or is there something else wrong?

My use of the Green/Red wire is based on the 88 FSM which shows that as the speed sensor wire.
