for FD's the temp gauge doesn't go thru the ECU...its another sender on the block. Look for that.

In an FC, the water temp signal wire goes through the driver side harness, its a yellow/white wire make sure that wire is connected to the little sender thats next to the oil pressure sender on the engine near the spark plugs. That is the wire for the dash. Either that or it goes through the engine harness from the other side, for a sec i just forgot exactly which side it comes from, but im 90% sure its from the driver side harness, but it is a yellow/white wire, that im certain of it.

Have you guyz tried it an did it work????.....
I tried every thing.....
.I think its on the ECU harness....because its not on driver side of car...
I try going direct from behind of cluster but didn't show no responce...
Does the wire run to where FACTORY ECU is an can i run direct wire from sensor to yellow/white wire....????
Been puzzleing to me for couple of days...

So, is this an FC or an FD? If it is an FD then, the wires go to one of the CPU's other than the main ECU, and then to the gauge cluster.

He said "FC"...

It's either yellow or yellow / white (hell, it might be even yellow / black?).
Whatever the case, it's the only yellow wire in the bunch.

The main engine harness used to be plugged into a pair of plugs in the PASSENGER side kickpanel.
One of the two has this yellow wire in it.
Just run a wire from the water temp sensor all the way to there.

If you are ambitious, you can run the wire straight to the back of the instrument cluster also.

Just under the Oil pedestal, next to the heater hose outlet on the rear plate are two senders/sensors… the big one (2-3” diameter) is Oil pressure the little one is water temp. The oil pressure slides on perpendicular and the water temp one plugs in like a spark plug wire
