pwm questions.

so im hooking up a little 12v siren i got from radio shack to a pwm setup as "shift light"....

what i need to know is how much load, current or what ever the term would be can the pwn handle. can i just wire the siren ground straight to the pwm and a 12v source to the other side of the siren... or do i really have to run a relay for this?

this little siren cant draw much...

It's in the manual.
Max current draw of 1A.
It's recommended to use relays.

If you wire up the siren, make sure you wire the relay to the battery then to the siren and the switching circuit to ignition 12v and the ground to the Haltech...

BUT.. why not just use LED's????

Seriously.. when you are concentrating on shifting and clutch work and all that..... a visible indicator will be muych more effective than an auditory one.

here's what six high output LED's connected to +12v ignition source and the PWM #2 look like.

102dB Siren Sound Piezo Buzzer

$5.29
Catalog #: 273-079

Add some sound with our Piezo siren! Operates on 6-14 VDC, with 150mA Current at 12V. Buzzer Tone rated at 2,000-4,500Hz.

i have an extra relay... but with 150mA draw it should be well under the 1amp max and should be ok. please correct me if im wrong.
