PWM Options.. Question on if I can..

I will post this question to the Haltech list as well.

I want to be able to tie in the Oil Tempature, Coolant Tempature, Boost Pressure, and EGT tempature into a PWM that will basically do:

IF TEMP greater than or equal to XXXX then XXXX volts out.

Basically, I want to put a damn light in my car and when one of these values hits, I know to let off. Its not that I don't view my gauges.. But I would like that dummy light.

I am sure it can be done somewhat.. For example the fan mod. When the engine temp = XXX turn on fans. Well, I can use a PWM simular to that to turn on a light, but what about EGT, boost, etc?

How can I accomplish this?

Mike

Mike, if you get on ICQ I can explain in some detail about how I have setup a couple cars with lights for warnings and stuff. Mainly we just use a set of resistors picked for certain output voltages from the sensor and put those inline with an LED. Most of the time people use three LEDs, one green meaning things are warm enough to start racing/WOT, yellow saying things are getting close to dangerous back off a little, and a red LED saying shut down there is a problem.

As far as using the Haltech for this, I would see it to be easier to have someone make a controller to turn one and off lights based on certain temps (mainly with a variable resistor)

Hopefully this made sense.

Mike,

I will type up an email with some instructions for you on how to temporarily setup the LEDs in your car to see if you like it. Hopefully I will get around to it this weekend, although you know me, it might be two weeks before I remember.

Keep reminding me if you can.

Most likely I will post it on my website. I will get some Radio Shack part numbers this weekend to go along with everything else to help out.
