PS1000 trigger issue

Hey y'all,

Just finished wiring up a PS1000 in my brother's FC:

-S4 13B
-S4 CAS
-Bosch 2200 x4
-FC coils

I've got timing set at -5 and locked at the same value in the software.

I've noticed that the timing light doesn't consistently land on the yellow mark.

Also, I'm picking up 2 misses on the "Miss Counter", and during my attempts to start the engine with fuel, the engine sounds like it's kicking back (slowing down) with the tach needle dropping towards 0 during the "kicks".

Wiring was done per the diagram, with system ground at the engine block and signal grounds going direct to the battery negative. All signal wires were twisted and individually heatshrunk including the trigger cables. I noticed that the alternator output wire is running close to the CAS, so I may try to relocate that and see if it helps any tomorrow.

Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

a few things i would check..

to me it sounds like CAS is 180 deg out or somthing like that. Just initial thoughts i may be wrong but good to eliminate these first.

    Solved the problem.

    Cause(s):
-nut on CAS not tightened down after finding yellow mark
-Alternator output wire was ran near CAS wires/connector
    -Fouled plugs

Fixed all three and boom - rock solid idle and startup.
