Problems with starting with e6k

Ok, so i have the haltech wired up and loaded with a hitman basemap. Initailly the car would start everytime if i feathered the throttle while cranking. Now i've changed the fuel injectors (secondaries) and it doesn't want to start. I've tried changing the fuel map around, but it doesn't seem to help, it just keeps flooding. It seems like it wants to start, but then it just dies out. my question is, is there something i can do with the timing to help it start? I'm a complete newbie when it comes to tuning, so any suggestions would be helpful.

my set-up:
S4 streetported turbo block w/ S4 N/A rotors.
550cc primary/ 720cc secondary
stock S4 turbo

If you were using a stock injector map, and you switched to 720cc secondaries, it should still start, but its my guess that you might have a higher fuel pressure than what the map is intended, or, your spark plugs are gone.

Also, HITman's maps tend to be on the rich side, for safety reasons.

I still have the stock FPR, So i don't think there should be any problems with that, although i don't have a gauge hooked up to double check. The spark plugs are brand new, so they shouldn't be a problem. I tried leaning out the maps, but it still seems to flood, i'm stumped as to why. My fuel injectors aren't leaking, i just got them back from being serviced. I have no idea where to start now.

In that case, if you tried leaning the maps too much, it might be that you're too lean now, and thats why it doesnt want to start. I suggest you try downloading one of my maps for stock components and see what happens there. Make sure you pick the right one for your ignition system (ie. stock coils, or msd's or ls1 coils, etc).

The bar that determines the start up fuel pulsewidth is the '0' rpm, '0' psi bar (Range 1, bar 11). Try adjusting that if the car is having difficulty starting and you are smelling fuel and flooding out.

Also, your fuel prime compensation map also affects start-up. But, try the fuel map first.

well i tried a different map. it helped a little, but it still won't start all the way. i'm not so sure it's flooding now, but it gets to about 500RMP and doesn't seem to catch after that.

what is a good AFR to be looking for while cranking??

Don't even concern yourself with AFR's at cranking... as you should not be cranking that long anyways.

With the staging map, you will select a staging bar. This bar does NOT take into account what MAP your engine is at. Make sure the map that you are using and the staging point is correct in your software, or you may be firing your secondaries while cranking, which would obviously inhibit your cars ability to start.

Another thing, is pull your plugs, and check to see if they are wet, or if they are firing... if you have been consistently flooding your engine, then there is a good chance you have fouled your plugs (yes, even if you just installed new ones..)

Next, the hitman maps are not the "end all" for getting your car started/tuned... Many of them have come through and ended up being the problem all along for SEVERAL people... As maps get passed around, they will have a tendency(not every time) to get corrupted, leading to more headaches.....this should be noted.
