Haltech Problems!!!!
Problems!!!!
I have a haltech e6k version 707. It worked fine the whole year that I have used it. I had recently just installed a new engine in the car, and have been trying to get it to start. weekend before last, I started the car and it fired no problem. Yesterday, after changing a dead battery, the haltech would not communicate with the car it self. No ignition, no tach, no spark. Does the sound like a bad haltech, or a fault in the wiring somwhere? what can I do to try and fix?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Does the fuel pump prime?
Can you hear it?
If not, the Haltech isn't turning on.
If you can hear the Haltech prime the fuel pump, change out the comm cable and possibly the laptop.
If nothing works, the comm chip could've blew - common problem.
This required returning the Haltech ECU to Haltech AUS to get it fixed.

are you getting an rpm reading on the haltech?
i'd double check the wiring for hte crank sensor and maybe even pull it out and spin it by hand while you watch the laptop--or you should be able to hear the injectors click.

The shipping to and from Oz is murder though, labor and parts for the repair was 75 dollars, which i guess is still fare for a 1000 dollar piece of equipment that is in excellent condition.
Good luck.
Haltech already finished it and they said the the switch chips burned out. It came to like 145 AUS dollars including shipping back to here.
There were pretty quick fixing it I think.
thanks for the help and the input.
