Something is wrong....in either case the readings shouldn't be fluctuating . When you're getting the 180-230 reading....does it sound like the engine is going faster, then slower, faster then slower.....or does the reading simply bounce up and down?
And second, changing the offset shouldn't effect the RPM readout, at least in my experience - I could be wrong its happened before - but baiscally changing the number of spark events shouldn't affect the number of pulses seen by the reluctor.

It sounds the same as when its on 5 and it actually starts. BUt it changed the rpms when I did the offset part, but I'll just leave that alone and try with those two gains. But i knew having it on 5 was wrong even if it started because the engine would just rev to the top if the limiter wasn't set low so it was that one time that it was set to 5 and from then on it hasn't started, but gets close on 3. At least better than 11 even though the cas is set the factory way.

So what is the difference in the tooth offset from 3 and 11? It can run on 3 now but it just revs high unless I put the limiter on like 2500 and it dies at 2100 and the stock tach shows like 6500 rpms when its 2500 which is wierd. Oh and the vacuum gauge is reading around 7inch but thought bridges dont pull alot.

Got it running on 3 now but the tach is showing 2x what the haltech rpms is showing though which kind of sucks, but now just getting the hesitations out when going through the throttle and shows about 9in vac at idle and not having to buy plugs every time to start it.
