Well my friend, if you got it running of a 13B base map, then all i can say is tune it, since they are pretty much the same engines, all you can do now is tune.

Remember, that base maps are there to provide you with a starting point, and after that you have to dial it in properly.

Looking to see if anyone is running a map using the continuous Baro correction on the E6X.
I'm using a 3bar external and the internal for baro. I have a 87 II with 750/1200 stock turbo 3" exhaust no cats, 40psi fuel.
I just finished the install and got it to start up but seem very rich due to living at 6400' and every one having sea level programs. Will want to drive this car to and from work which takes me over a 11500' tunnel back to town at 9000'

You will probably have to do your own tweaking, since we cant guestimate this without really being there. Start your car, warm it up to operating temperature, go to the baro comp map and start taking out fuel until the AFRs get to an ideal spot, you might need to retune the map to get best results, dont try to go on the baro comp map only.

For what ECU? there is a stock map for 3 bar map sensor, for both K and X, you can use that and reduce the bars after the 0psi/stagging point about 10%.

Also, how are you connecting the ignition? stock coils and igniters?

Use this one:

E6X for stock engine and 3 bar map sensor.

You will have to reduce the bars after the stagging point since this is for stock 550 injectors, so you will be rich.

What happened exactly? Did you do a compression test on the engine to see if nothing broke inside?

How do you have the ignition setup? old distributor? 2nd gen CAS? MSDs? Do you have a dual throttle body setup?

PM me with your answer.

It should work, but you will most likely need to retune a little given the porting, BUT!, and i streess the BUT!, you shouldnt try to boost it too much on stock injectors. Also, what kinds of mods have you dont to the fuel system?

I've got an fd pump for now, but still just starting on this project and just want to make sure it can run before getting in to deep. haha I still have to get the oil system hooked up because the alternator gets in the way of the oil cooler lines when relocated to the side.

Hi Steve, just use one of the 850/1600 maps on there, make sure you set the ignition according to your setup (direct fire) and just retune. Also, dont forget to zero in your timing.

What a shame, i left SoCal day before yesterday, im here in GA now, should've emailed or PM me so could've changed my plans, i had another car to finish, and it would've been good to do more.

What do you want to do? Did you try using my base map for stock injectors? What do you mean by "i believe" you have internal map sensor, you dont know? Have you wired it and set it up right?

That map is too lean for some reason. I can get it to start for a second with stater fluid, probably cause the low compression of the RA seals.I just can't find out how much more fuel i need to change for it. I had it giving like over 16ms at one time and it still just did the same thing. Even though thats on the 550's.

That just sounds ilogical, if you needed to add that much fuel it proably means your engine is not sealing properly. And like i indicated in my disclaimer all engines are different, these maps are just a starting point. Its possible that you might need to pull start your car. Unless your fuel pressure is set lower than normal, or something that would make the fuel requirements go out of wack.

Well, 45 might be a little more than what the map was setup under, so you might be on the rich side, but then again, its not that much. But, since you said you where raising the mS value a lot, its point for concern.

Ijust got the motor running for alittle over a minute with stater fluid, but i stopped spraying after i started and it ran for that long under light throttle then stalled. gotta comp test, and test some wires before figuring anything out.

Yes, that would be a good idea. Also, you might try to take this to another thread, that way i can leave this one for MAP info.

Ok so an update on the map. It can start my half-bridge pretty easy even with the RA seals, so overall that one is a multi-engine map. its the first e6k map you have listed. As soon as i get my wideband and all, i can see how it does driving under light throttle conditions till my engine's broken in. Thanks

Derek
