Haltech Pickup Trigger Miscount with Sprint RE

Pickup Trigger Miscount with Sprint RE
I installed a new sprint RE in a 90 mazda rx-7 with cas pickup and am having a very unusual problem with the trigger and home signals. Everything works good until it gets warm, then I start to have dropped trigger counts. The car will run smooth when it's cold, but when it nears operating temp, it starts to miss trigger or home counts real bad. More symptoms include the timing marks jumping erratically, tach very jumpy/jagged and not smooth, and the coils not firing on engine decel.
On the diagnostics screen, I can see the missed trigger count climb pretty high when it's missing. When the car runs smooth, triggers since last home holds solid at 12 and miss counter does not change, as it should. When it starts to miss, T/H number jumps around from 6 to 13. I have added additional rf shielding sleeve to both pickup bundles in addition to rerouting it out of the harness and away from possible interference. I have also tried two different crank angle sensors as troubleshooting steps. Any changes to the voltage threshold for either the trigger or home pickups result in it not seeing engine speed or making zero difference the other direction.
Additionally when tuning the car, we had a 15 minute window where any changes to the ignition map, including changes to the timing lock, the timing would not actually change. In that same time, any changes to the fuel map took. That was the biggest flag to me.
The next step is to check for interference with an oscilloscope and after that, the towel is going to be thrown in on this Sprint RE.
Any ideas?

So rather than having a dead thread, here was the answer to my problem. It took another set of eyes to figure it out.
Let me start by saying that you should not rely SOLELY on the wiring diagrams colors. It turns out that two colors on the CAS was incorrect/backwards or the Sprint RE wiring diagram colors were wrong. One one of the pickups, the + and - were backwards. Once switched around, it worked fine.
