I have no ideas left.......... Only to update the firm ware. I think there is one out for the E6X.
Anyone do that?
I have tried, what firmware are you running right now?

I believe most recent systems are at system 11 version 12. If you have lower than that i have the sys 11 v11.

Let me know,

I don't think it's been updated at all.........

so whatever the unit came with and It isn't a newer system as it was bought used.

I'll try that

oh and while i was logging sometimes when I went to view the log it would say "time is not a variable" or something like that.

It did that 4-5 times. I would just shut the halwin down then.

UPDATE-

upgraded the halwin to version 1.23 (previously 1.0)

(firm ware 11.11)

Tried many times to get signal..... still no luck

I then took the montronic filter to 0.

Normally in the old version I could set it but would never take.

This time it took and guess what............ RPM!

sooooo happy.

i got the 1600k bounce but just set the gains to 2 and it cleared that up fast.

It seems that it was filtering almost all the signals.

Now i just have to get the car to run.

I think the big battle is over as i know it runs fine (had it running once when we got rpm signal)

I wish i did this earlier and saved a month of headaches.

I'll post back when i get more time to work on it.

Its been a month worth of headaches that was quickly taken care of once the rpm's were picked up. Makes the last month of absolute brain-racking and checking and double checking worthwhile. Now we just have to get it started....

I'm going to swap back in the old CAS where i gapped it and then i'll hopefully be able to set the gains to 0.

It was late so we didn't try much after getting rpm pick up.

We swapped the old cas back in.

Gain was at 2 was still spiking a bit.

So i turned gain down to 0 and even turned the montronic filter back up to 2.

Picks up really well. Don't know if it was a bad setting from the previous software (from when i tried to change it and didnt' take) but now it picks up rpms great. This CAS was adjusted and the air gap is very small.

Started it up and set timming......

Next time we will work on Idle.

If it's not one thing it's another.

Timing seems ok but I have no trailing and it floods everytime I try to start it.

I enabled the ign toggle but that doesn't work.

rpms still doing great.

I just zeroed the throttle before the battery died.

so what i need to do is -

1.) Get trailing to fire

2.) Start with out flooding

If I take the cas out and spin it at about 1k rpm the haltech picks it up but anything below that theres no rpm indication. Is this a problem with internal reluctor in the haltech?

IIRC the color wires i used to wire to the CAS was from the old wiring harness (engine ecu).

For some reason the colors change at the CAS connector.....

So a black from the engine harness would be a pink or something on the CAS.

Chech the actual wires of the CAS to ensure they are wired properly.

casey said it was only 61 bucks and that they paid for return.

Have you check your wiring harness to see if any pins were switched?
