More Questions

I'm looking at the hitman map and I'm just getting a feel for reasoning behind why things are done the way they are on this map. Granted you guys didn't write it but you certainly have more insight into the reasoning than I do.

Barometric Correction: The hitman has this set yet the manual says to leave it off if you have a MAP. Does it even matter? I assume that all of the tuning is going to be done based on the MAP's pressure and the temp of the intake charge.

Staged Injection setup: Looking at the map, it says the injectors are staged for the 10th bar yet the timing doesn't drop until the 12th bar. I'm assuming this is just compensation for the injectors being farther up the manifold? It just seems like if you have as much fuel at bar 11 as you do at bar 25 it's going to put the 3800 hesitation on the stock ECU to shame.

Alright, it looks like there is a handful of things that don't seem to get loaded properly from the e6k maps to the E6X even though it has the option to import them. Staged induction question is figured out now after thinking about how long it takes air to move the half a foot extra it would need to. Still wondering about the Barometric correction though. Thanks -Zach-

I've found that the staging bar is best set at bar 13 or 2 psi of boost pressure. If you have large secondary injectors and stock primary, you will have some stumbling at part throttle when you get off it. This will be due to the primaries ramping themselves up to 9~10 Ms to make the transition as smooth as can be with that large of a gap.

Lock the Baro function=Yes in the setup page. Take your average Baro reading in your area for a few days. (Without storms) and convert it to Millibars. You will need two MAP sensors to run a live Baro Correction map. If this is important to you, you must connect the second Baro sensor to the Spare A/D and set it to Baro.

Good luck,

Steven
