LM-1 input into e6k

Does this work accurately.

I don't want to buy the extra datalog box and would like to make this functional and cheaper to hook up to the E6K.

You could hook up the lm-1 with the aux 1 programmed for narrow band output to the e6k o2 sensor input, or you could datalog the 0-5 voltage ouput into the haltech aux voltage in and datalog it that way..Thats how I have been doing it, and the plotting the datalogs on some graph paper to show the a/f trend...
There is a e6k software version floating around with wideband input via 0-5 volt, but I found that it represented the 02 sensor change as linear, but the 0-5 volt ouput in termso of a/f from the FJO was not , so I stopped playing with it... If the 0-5 ouput from the lm-1 is linear it would work with that, check your manual..Max

Thanks max,

As always you've always been helpful. The LM-1 by innovative is a linear output. So it looks like it will work.

I do not want to spend the extra money on the AUX box or gauge. For now I can just use the stock A/F signal to the automete gauge and when need I can use the LM-1 output into the haltech for datalogging.

Thanks,

I ran my TechEdge linear output into the Spare A/D input of the Haltech with good success. Then, using Excel, I was able to correlate the voltage into an accurate A/F ratio. This made it easy for creating a graph for several pulls, measuring A/F vs other factors.

For some reason I cannot import the haltech logs into excel. Is there another program out there that can graph Haltech?

Its real tricky but you can export the Haltech datalog. There is an option to save the log to file, but if you goof up on the filename or pick a wrong choice regarding how many pages to output, it will blow up. Once you get the file outputted, its very easy to open with Excel and then you can graph with that.

I can talk you through it. Where exactly is the process failing?

I try to print it to file then save it. Importing it to excel. Only the top headings show.

I once was able to plot it into excel but now I have nothing.
If I send you a log maybe you can see where I am going wrong?

Thanks for your help!

Sure, send me your log as well as the text file that's being created by your Haltech software when you "print to disk". My email address is mazpower@earthlink.net.
