does haltech have a feature for a full throttle launch? My old standalone I could floor it and have the boost build at a desired rpm. I have a E6k btw

 

Yes, Anti-Lag, works as full throttle shift also, and you also have aux. RPM limit.

 

how do I set this feature up? I would like to set a 5k full throttle launch, but dont I need a button to turn it on or off? So it doesnt act as a 5k rev limiter when I am normally driving.

 

Yes, you enable the Aux. In as the trigger to activate it. I suggest you contact someone who has done this with success, because YOU WILL damage your engine if you're not careful.

 

You can use a clutch switch or a remote switch. If you're woried about engaging it during normal driving then use an arm switch together with a clutch switch. I've seen some people use the horn button together with the clutch switch just for an example.

 

Problem with the Haltech anti-lag setup is that it is designed to be used in off throttle situations, ie. rally. You can not set it up to work at 100% throttle. The programming is setup so that the anti-lag is functional below a certain percentage (programmable) throttle limit. When you feed in throttle and hit the programmed percentage limit the anti-lag is deactivated. I've attempted to use it for drag launches and it's awkward to say the least.

Using the two-step function is easy. I recommend using the clutch switch with an in-line deativation switch just like Crispeed says. Wire it through the clutch and as you sit on the line with the clutch depressed you stand on the gas and hold the desried RPM. When you side step the clutch the aux rev limit is disabled. No need to think about releasing a seperate button. Use the switch to disable the aux rev limit to make use of the burn out box easier.

 

How is the switch wired anyways?

After looking through the haltech manual it appears that it can be operated from the PWM's or the spare A/D. If I want it on PWM 3 for example, would I simply make the switch connect PWM 3's ground wire (blue/green) to power? Then it becomes active once the throttle conditions are met?

Also, to amend the post I made further up in this thread there is now drag and rally modes for the anti-lag setup. Drag mode allows full throttle launches with the anti-lag function engaged.
