Ok first ting, i fixed the ignition problem today. Put on the new Mercury coils and it boosted good and no hesitation. Pulled one time to 6000 rpm and every thing was fine. But was abit lean at 6000. So need to tune.

Pluto, i tried the map again today, and had to remove 30% fuel just to get it to idle by it self. Removed 30% on the entire map. And when trying to rev it, it is realy rough.

What is actualy the Ign Div By?

Hey Jan,
The ign div by function is use to ease the tuning from converting gasoline to methonal. It should be set to 2 for gasoline.

I'm not sure why you have to remove 30% of fuel. That doesn't sound right across the board.

Hey Steve

Well the car is running and have been for a while now. It pulls ok at 1 kg, but it's alittel rough, and very rich. AF is at 10.2 from 6500 rpm and up, and never over 11 once it gets boost. So it needs to be tuned alot. Going to redoo the ignition system this winter. Still going to use the mercury coils, but going to use a Autronic 500R ignition box, and maybe change out the haltech with a Autronic ECU.

The thing is, the car wont run any good on IGN Div By 2 only on 1. It's immpossible to tune at IGN Div By 2. Im not sure what's wrong, but somthing is.

Maybe we should get u over next year when we are going to tune my freinds and mine's engine. He got a T78 and autronic setup, and an extended port. We are going to digg some more in my ports this winter too.

Going to try 30 psi and water injection next year

JT,
I think what happen is that when you set it to div by 1 and removed 30% of fuel, it made it run very lean for div by 2. Which is why it wasn't smooth. If I have to guess, your inj time is probably in the 3-4ms at 10-11psi range to get the a/f ratio number you described below. either way, its nothing big deal, just makes it harder to tune with less resolution with the inj time.

Yeah it's abit hard to tune at the moment. But it's alot better after the ignition system is working. Using a MSD 6AL box on the two Leading Mercury coils. But will use a Autronic box next year.

Her's a pic of the car, when i got to drive it on trh track for the first time
