I run F9 for fuel and IG5 for ign. I can't get my tacho working and I've tried both tacho out signals. I run direct fire with waste fire so I can't get the signal from the coils either. I will only get half the RPM on the tacho.

Stock the tacho gets its signal from negative side of the coil.

Hope someone can give me a hint.

Forgot to mention, the car is a volvo 4 cyl turbo...

 

You should find out what kinda signal your Volvo wants. Since this is an RX-7 specific board, I doubt you'll get very much response from the user bad - hell, I have no clue myself. Those units can spit out a tach signal, but it's a "typical" ground pulse for tachs. It sounds like the Volvo doesn't use this type of signal for a tach.

As a last resort, you can run an aftermarket tach which uses a ground pulse.
