How do u set upp timing correct?

Im trying to set the timing on the engine correct. And tried with a timing light on the trailing plugs today. And i can't get any light.

Is there a special trick to get it to work on a rotary?

And what should the timing be on a 13B-REW?

Im using the new E6X. Trigger angle is set to 70 BTDC now. And Tooth offset is set to 5.

It runs pretty good at this setting, but im pretty sure the timing is not correct.

I tried lovering the trigger angle pretty low and the car started to run alot rougher.

Could anyone with experince tell me how to set the timing correct.

Oh and how much do u set the Coil Recharge time to?

I have seen som much diffrent answers. What is stock?

Oh and i thought the rear trailing plug did not fire. but i does, it just don't show when trying to check for spark when cranking. Got this frome a very good rotor builder and tuner in england.

So any help would be great. Im going to the dyno on monday, and need to get it run in first

JT
