Question HELp---->E6K or wait for E11?

Question for all you guys, I am looking to upgrade my ECU (I have stock right now). I decided I wanted to go with Haltec....should I wait for the E11 or go with a E6k? I don't have any tuning experience, and the closest dyno is 2 hours away. I have two mods I want to get in the future, after I get a ECU. 1300-1600cc secondary's (and fuel rail) and a cat back, (and upgraded twin turbos in the far future). You can see the list of mods I have in my signature.
Is the base map a good starting place...will I be able to drive the car with it?
I have a laptop to use for tuning... is there some sort of real time display in the software to see what the car is doing?
Any help opinions would be great!
-Dave

If the new windows based software works with the E6k, is there anything the E11 will do that the E6k won't do that I would need my Ecu to be able to do?

The E11 will have more available inputs and outputs, and will be able to control the OMP. I really dont see a problem with my EK6, and I dont think ill upgrade anytime soon. You should decide if your going to have a buttload of stuff the your ECU will be running.

You can control almost anything. Boost control, aquamist, nitrous, etc.

i would go with the e6k because the e11 is just like a crash test dummy right now and everyone has the e6k so if you have a problem its as easy to get support for as it is seeing a vtec honda...

I thought the new windows-based software for the E11 won't work with the E6K?

I thought I read somewhere here that the new software will work on the E6K.

I am in the market for a Haltech...but trying to decide between the E6K and the E11.

I'll be in the market for an EMS after i get my upgraded turbo myself. To be honest, I think microtec is the best bang for the buck. Only problem is the lack of support in the states but I have been seeing more and more people get them.

The Halwin E11 software will NOT work with the E6K. If you're not familiar with the differences between the two ECUs, I suggest taking a look at the Haltech website and printing a copy of the product info pages. Compare the features of each of them side by side and decide what you really need. The E11 software is very nice, and the new ECU does a lot of neat things that the E6K will not. That doesn't mean that the E6K wouldn't work brilliantly for what you want to do. Take the time and make an educated purchase.

Anyway, let me know if you're interested in the E11. I think I may be the only dealer in the US who still has one left. I can be reached by e'mail at bckennedy@carolina.rr.com

Happy Holidays!
