Haltech and USB

I noticed most Haltechs connect with the serial port. Is it ok to use a serial to usb adapter? Most of the newer and smaller laptops dont have serial ports anymore.

There are a few Serial to USB adapters that dont work, i know for a fact that the Keyspan USB to Serial does work great, but stay away from the Belkin one. Also, if this is for E6X or Halwin (windows) yes, you can use the adapter.

Hopefully, someday, Haltech with come up with USB connection, which is probably the way all manufactures are going.
