Haltech TPS

Im sure this question has been brought up many a times in the past, I can't seem to find any posts about it. Does anybody happen to know a GM part number for the Haltech TPS or even better what model car it came off of? The only info i know is that its off a late 80's early 90's vehicle.

I was at the the ford dealership talking to one of my dads fellow tech's and he said maybe a 1987 Ford T-Bird Turbo coupe or mustang with the 2.3L. Another thing he said that haltech might have done, which seems to be the case, is use a Ford TPS then splice the harness with a GM weather pack connector.

Got this from the bluestreak site that we use at work: http://www.bsecorp.com/bse_partsearch.php
(BELOW)
This is similar although the haltech tps is a "D" type.

Any help would great.

The haltech Sensor is a G/M Sensor,

Here is a pic.
http://www.rpsport.net/product/RPS37400

But, ANY tps sensor (that is a potentiometer type) can be used with your haltech, it is a simple as calibrating the tps in the haltech.

Physically connect your unit, key on the vehicle, boot 1.26, go to "setup","throttle setup", follow the instructions for minimum (closed throtltle) hit set, take it to WOT hit set and you are done.

If you really want the P/P Haltech unit i have a couple here.

John

Ford did use the same sensor on several models. It's not hard to find them at all.

I know that ford has used them on some mid to late 80's vehicles. Would you happen to know which model it may have come off of?

I have been trying to find one and have had no luck.

You just want a Haltech sensor? I can have one in the mail to you today.

If not try rockauto.com. They have a great site that has pictures of a good number of oem type parts. Good for finding stuff like this.

It's a simple 3-pin weatherpack connector. They're like weeds. Autozone, Pepboys, Advance, NAPA.....

Guys, remember, Haltech has all the connectors for ALL the sensors it sells, and a whole lot more, dont be afraid to ask about them to your local dealer. They range in price from 5 to 10 dollars, depending on connector, and they come with pins.

The site has 128bit encryption, I assure you it is very safe. Maybe it was a browser issue?

Either way, you can always call us directly and pay with paypal!

No ****, sherlock. What does it matter? The question is still relevant and hasn't been answered. Would you rather I started a new thread with the same question?

In any event, I found a late 80's ford TPS that is spring loaded, one directional, but it spins clockwise, so it works for mounting to the front of the TB. I think it had something to do with a Probe TPS recall, as they shipped me a dealer sticker to attach to the radiator shroud when I had performed the recall....hahaha. It's missing the D shaped keyway but I think I'm going to make it work anyways.

i either need to buy another "haltech" tps for the obscene price of 100 dollars or find this mystical junkyard replacement. The nissan D shaft sensors from 6cyclider models is bloody huge, the hyundai d shaft tps i found was still a bit larger but reads a bit narrower than the haltech one i had previsouly did, like the TB doesnt rotate as much for something...

i have the efi hardwares TBs btw and the haltech sensor attaches directly to it.
