Haltech Support is the Best

I called Haltech USA 12/30.

I was seeing anomolus injector firing.
I called Haltech USA and spoke with Eric about my issue.
He said " Call back in 15 minutes, I'll run a simulation".

When I called back he had run a simulation and answered my question.

This is premier tech support.

I agree, good people. (I mean that!) They are lightly staffed though. I sent in an E6X with what appeared to be a blown ignition driver. (Everything worked but no spark) It arrived November 1st. USA only has 1 tech who does repairs, and (unfortunately for me) he also does their trade shows. (Both near the end of the year, doh!). That, in combination with Thanksgiving and a failure of the computer that does the bench testing and they weren't able to look at it until December 15th.

Subsequent testing revealed a short somewhere on the board; replacing the blown 5v regulator yielded another blown regulator. They offered a discount on a new Platinum Sport 1000 but it was still far outside my budget, so they shipped it to Australia for further analysis.

I'm still holding on to hope. If they can fix it, the wait will all have been worthwhile. I like the product, and I do get the feeling that the support staff cares about (me) the customer. I was told it could take a month or two (due to the holidays) but I will post an update when I have some news.

They fixed it! And for the standard repair fee. Looks like they accidentally charged me twice though, but I'm sure they will take care of that.
