A friend of mine with a new Dell laptop cannot view the haltech software in dos mode correctly. Where there are supposed to be spaces, there is a funny symbol. So far I've tried...

- reloading display drivers
- playing with resolutions
- trying in safe mode
- tried looking for a dos based driver

Still no luck. On other XP laptops it works fine, any suggestions?

The simple answe, new lappys dont display DOS, download the COMPAQ version of the software for your haltech from the Haltech site.
