haltech platinum error windows

so as of a few weeks ago i started getting this error, regardless of which laptop/OS i use, and the result is i can't connect to the haltech.

has anyone else had this problem?

Maybe it could be a
Driver problem. Seems like there are drivers installed when you install the ECU manager software.
You may try updating or
Reinstalling the
Software

i tried all of these things, and i tried different computers and different operating systems.

i am contacting claudio now.

I guess it would be prudent to try a new USB cable, besides that it would seem to be a hardware problem with the unit itself.

But, then, Claudio may have some really clever idea. He does know his stuff.
