Haltech Noobie

Hey guys,

I just recently picked up a used E6K and will be installing it along with the rest of my parts once I've broken in my motor.

My question is this, once the E6K is installed, will the car just start like magic? Is there a default base map so that I can at least drive the car for a few days until I goto the dyno or do I need to get someone elses map who has a similar setup to my own.

Thanks for the info guys.

Good thinking installing it after you've broken in the motor. Find someone witha tuned map that has the same primary injectors as you do. Then the start up portions and idle and cruising portions of the maps will be similar and should work well. If you dont have a wideband O2 get one. The PLX M-300 is nice and its reasonable, $310 shipped. Good luck, got a more specific question PM and i'll try my best.

He's got some nice basemaps. Should get your car started and idling and driveable...
