From what i know of the IG5, it cant run a rotary's ignition and spark events the correct way, or at least the same way the factory FC and FD ECU's fire the plugs which is the 2 primaries together and the 2 secondaries alternating. It would however run properly with an old distributor from a pre 85 engine. And you'd have the benefit of an adjustable ignition curve, but its more of a pain than a benefit. Get an E6X or hold off for the new E8 that is coming out, it will be a stripped version of the E11 with not so many inputs and ouputs but can handle a 6 cyl. engine fully sequential with wasted spark and the price will be similar to the E6X.
