For your comfort of mind, I deal with Tim at RPM locally (Adelaide), and he is VERY straight, and a real nice guy.
Knows his ****, too!!

Cheers,
Dave

So he'll ship a haltech w/harness for around $1000? lol, what's the catch? That sounds great! How does one approach him about this? I looked on the site, and Haltech's weren't listed anywhere in the products he sells...

no no no man!! He will ship a Haltech w/harness AND a 3-bar MAP for $1570 AUD...or about $780 USD, not $1000. You just have to buy all the connectors and sensors, which should only cost around $100.

Just drop him an email or call him...both are on the website. He can get lots of stuff not listed on his website.

If any of you are interested in a good deal on an E6K system with the options you want (and none that you don't) shoot me a line. I'm an authorized Haltech dealer, though they haven't added me to the webpage. I'll support what I sell, and I have the ear of Haltech US and am pretty easy to reach/deal with.

However, I won't be selling systems at such wildly discounted prices. Believe me, you need the support whether you realize it or not. I'll make a deal with you, but I'm not going to rip off any other Haltech dealers in the process. If you're interested, you can e'mail me at

I sent an e-mail to Tim and received one back from Ivan Yeoh. It read like an automated response and said that they sold the E6K for $2400 AUD or $1431.46 USD shipped only to the UK. Thats not what I was looking for. I need one so if anyone knows a better place or is doing another group buy send me a PM. Thanks

You can get this at the same price.

Hey, This is not a discount. Go to "rx7.com" The prices that you are putting out are about the smae prices that they have for the individual. Some are a few dollars more others are $20 cheaper.

Not trying to advertise, but I called (e-mailed) Tim, and he quoted me $2300 AUD ($1,369.21 US using 1Apr03 conversion rates) for an E6k, fully terminated harness, 4 injector harness, Connector Pack, Fuse block and loom, all required sensors (i.e. TPS, coolant, air temp) including a 3-bar MAP sensor and a 4-wire O2 sensor, disk, diagrams, booklets, etc., and shipping to the U.S., within 5-7 days! This is about $1800US at www.rx7.com.

Quick question though: He does not stock the boost module. What exactly does this do, and is it a good idea to get (Rotary Performance does stock them). Also, Rotary Performance sells tuning ***** (?). Again, what does this do, and is it a good idea to get? Thanks!

Chris

not sure what the "boost module" is, but it is most likely a boost solenoid. this is needed if you are having the ECU control the boost(not required). the trim **** is useful in tuining but it is a simple adjustable resistor(can be had at radio shack). the one from RX7.com just has the wiring harness connector and a small box to contain the resistor. these parts can be useful but are not required at all.
