haltech e6k verse e6x

what is the difference between these ecu's? im deciding on what one i want, becuase i found a used e6k. or should i just go for a e6x when i find one or get enough money for new?ive searched and cant find much

They are basically the same.
The E6X has a little minor software features, but it's questionable if you're going to use them at all.

The biggest difference / problem is the RA8(?) reluctor in the E6X.
The E6X is really finicky with the stock FC / FD ignition trigger system, so you need to be really careful on the install.
Lots of headaches with ignition input on the E6X.

The E6K is a proven unit on the FC and FD, period.

If you can get the K with a good harness for a decent price go that route. If not spend a little extra money and get the E8.
