haltech e6k on s5 t2+guitar junkies pulley help
Hey everybody, I have a s5 t2 streetported with stock coils and guitar junkie's pulley setup on it. Im running e6k and need a little bit of tips to get it zeroed.
Heres what i have so far, The pulley has 7 marks on it. -5,0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, from left to right. Im running oem mazda stab all done correctly by BDC. My question is i sync the haltech with the pulley by marking the 0 mark on the pulley (I use white out) using the timing light on the L1 wire I need to line up the pointer on the front cover to my 0 mark on my pulley? correct so far? Oh and type in 0 and lock the timing. So when the marks line up with the L1 at 0 on my pulley and 0 in the haltech the ? is what do I do with the trailing am I done and dont need to mess with the trailing or what? Where should the T1 be on the pulley now?
Thankyou for your time
Blake

since you have all those timing marks on your pulley... you can use any of them... just make sure you "lock" to which ever mark you are using..I.E. if you are using the -5 mark.. the lock the timing to -5... if you are using the 0 mark then lock it to 0
the trailing timing is controlled by the split timing map
the trailing timing is controlled by the split timing map

Hey thanks man that sounds good. So on E6k I just time the L1 and trailing is done by the base map that steve kan built me. It runs I was just wondering how to make sure its ready to put some mileage on it. So ill zero the timing tomarrow using the L1 and I wont mess with the trailing since steve kan's base map works really well. Thanks again.
